Background

Thirty years in operations. From the shop floor to AI.

Mechanical engineer, CMRP, founder of Manusis4. I have planned maintenance, recovered plant capacity, managed contracts with hundreds of people and multimillion projects. I have audited processes, managed projects and founded a software company. Today I build process, memory and AI agents for people who lead: in maintenance and across the rest of the company.

Every role left me a question. Together they became a method.

  1. 2015 — present

    Manusis4 · Founder and CEO

An asset and maintenance management platform with more than 250 customers in Brazil and the United States and 30 modules, from work orders to reliability, IoT and AI. I lead strategy and the US expansion, hands-on product and technology, and people.

    • Pricing per asset, not per user: limiting users limits participation, and poor participation produces poor information.
    • A product that grows with the customer's maturity, from basic CMMS to the intelligence layer.
    • Speaker at the SMRP 2026 Annual Conference on generative AI in maintenance.
  2. 2013 — 2014

Wolk Software · Chief Operating Officer and partner

Operations for the maintenance management software that gave rise to Manusis4: 50 customers and 80 operations, new business and the team of implementation consultants. Riding the Industry 4.0 wave, I designed the platform's next generation.

  3. 2010 — 2011

IBQ Britanite · Domestic and International Projects Manager

An R$21 million investment plan in new assets, six project coordinators and engineering standards based on the PMI method. Expansion of an emulsion unit, a 25% increase in loom capacity, planning of plants in Panama and in Recife, and the risk management committee advised by DuPont.

    • This is where the concept behind today's Manusis4 Projects module was born.
  4. 2009 — present

    Oportunitta Consultoria · Founder

Asset management consulting: supporting a global strategy consultancy on a cement producer's new maintenance strategy, training in Reliability-Centered Maintenance, process mapping and project portfolio. Talks, seminars and classes at educational institutions.

  5. 2008 — 2010

MAC Consultoria e Engenharia · Operations Manager

Restructuring of industrial and facilities maintenance in the food industry: a 30% reduction in maintenance operating costs in 2009 and average operational efficiency from 50% to 65%. Maintenance system assessments in pulp and paper, auto parts, beverages and plastics, and PMO for the construction of an R$240 million sugar and ethanol mill.

  6. 2002 — 2008

Accentum Manutenção e Serviços (JP Manutenção) · from Maintenance Engineer to Operations Manager

Outsourced maintenance at scale. I started by implementing planning, maintenance planning and control (PCM), software and KPIs on an industrial and facilities maintenance contract that became the benchmark among the company's 30 contracts nationwide. As engineering coordinator, I standardized the routine of the contracts in Paraná and Santa Catarina; as operations manager, I was responsible for 12 contracts in southern Brazil, R$35 million a year, with 20% EBITDA.

    • In 2008, the company's largest contract, in metals: 300 people in maintenance and up to 1,000 at the peak of the expansion works.
  7. 2000 — 2002

Monsanto do Brasil · Process and Maintenance Engineer · São José dos Campos

The solid agrochemicals unit was running at 40 t/day against a design capacity of 60; with the team, we reached nameplate capacity and exceeded it by 10% through mechanical improvements. Operational availability from 88% to 92%, ten projects worth US$853,000 in 2001 and the mechanical check-out of a US$15 million unit in Zárate, Argentina.

    • Key user in the SAP PM implementation: I saw the power of corporate ERP and how hard it is on the maintenance floor.
  8. 1999

    Lorenzetti · Maintenance Planning Engineer

The supervisor spent about 20 days consolidating spreadsheets to produce KPIs. I learned VB and Access and cut that to one click. It was the seed of the idea that has stayed with me ever since: technology eliminates unproductive work and turns it into information for decisions.

  9. 1995 — 1998

Zeneca do Brasil, now Syngenta · UNESP · Internship and undergraduate research

Internship in industrial maintenance with a CMMS still running on DOS, splitting the week between Campinas and Bauru, 300 km apart. Before that, a CNPq undergraduate research grant in quality and industrial maintenance, renewed twice, with four papers published at national conferences. Maintenance became a subject of study before it became a job.
